Here is a 2018 restoration on a 1978 Gottlieb Gemini playfield.    This playfield had a lot of cracking in the original lacquer finish and lots of ball marks.  We tried to save as much as the original artwork as possible, but the ball marks/yellowing lacquer was extreme in the white, yellow and orange areas so most of these areas had to be painted.  The red and blue color areas overall was saved by removing as much of the dirt/ball marks as possible.  This was a hard playfield to mask off and airbrush due to the fine details and complex artwork.  No stickers, insert decals or overlays were used in this restoration.   This was a $850 restoration, including the clear coating.  Playfield was finished with our matte (non-high gloss) finish.
