Here is a 1995 Bally Attack From Mars playfield.  This playfield was a mess and really should have not been restored.  Damage to several wood areas and extreme insert ghosting.  The insert ghosting kept on spreading to other inserts during the repair process.  Insert ghosting is common on Cirqus Voltaire and Arabian Nights playfields but can happen on AFM playfields.  To help keep the insert ghosting from spreading, we had to epoxy the inserts from the backside to help keep them from moving.  AFM playfields have frosted inserts and when the insert shifts the artwork will ghost.  This is a hard fix to make the repaired inserts have a ‘frosted’ look to them, otherwise the repaired inserts will no longer match the frosted look of the original inserts.   No stickers, overlays or water-slide decals were used in this restoration.
