PLAYFIELD CLEAR COATING

PLAYFIELD CLEAR COATING: All our playfields are clear coated with a BASF brand automotive clear coat. BASF paint products and clear coats are found as OEM coatings on BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche and other high-end German vehicles. We use a high-solids ‘Glamor’ clear coat for gloss retention and build thickness. This clear coat also has UV protection to prevent future color fading. We also do our clear coating in a temperature controlled spray booth. This make the playfields cure faster and makes the turnaround time quicker since we can do playfields year-round.

No NOS or reproduction playfield is perfect from the factory. If your NOS or new reproduction playfield has any issues that you want addressed (other then just clear coating it) please tell us beforehand. We do not up-charge for wide-body playfields.

Please check and re-glue or epoxy all inserts before you send in your playfield. We will not be responsible for loose inserts. A loose insert will cause clear coat issues (like ghosting) if the insert shifts or is loose. We know how to remove mylar so we prefer that you let us remove the mylar.
